APP Bootcamp
This bootcamp will provide an overview of the updated nomenclature and definitions of MASLD/MASH, including epidemiology, natural history, and key metabolic risk factors associated with disease progression. Participants will learn current approaches to diagnosis and risk stratification, with a focus on utilizing and interpreting noninvasive fibrosis assessment tools such as FIB-4 and elastography, and identifying patients who may benefit from hepatology referral. The bootcamp will also cover evidence-based lifestyle interventions and emerging pharmacologic therapies, including resmetirom and GLP-1 receptor agonists, with an emphasis on patient counseling, treatment selection, monitoring, and integration into comprehensive disease management.
Accredited by Medical Education Resources. Supported by an educational grant from Madrigal Pharmaceuticals.
